Still Here!

I’m still here, I promise!  I just went away for the weekend to attend the Durango Hat tournament (remember I went last year?) and then have been super freaking busy all week what with work and my birthday on Wednesday, and general life-things.

Knitting has been taking place, I promise.  I even finished the back of this sweater and have started on the front!  Hows that for progress?

A small lap blanket for me, the back of a sweater for him

And here in our happy place we’re refusing to acknowledge the fact that the back took months to complete what with my life-busy-ness and if the front and sleeves take that long it shant be finished in time for gift-giving in December…

Minor detail.  For now, happy space with a finished back piece.

So Many Adventures!

The Trouble in Vegas Ultimate Frisbee tournament this weekend was such a huge success!  Even though there were problems with our registration and we weren’t placed in the right division, everyone still had a blast and no one got seriously injured.

I hope to be back to my normal blogging schedule-thing soon, but Spring Break is next week and I’ll be traveling again.  I promise to do my best and show you what knits I’ve been working on!  Hopefully tomorrow I’ll get a quick WIP in once I find where the knucks went…they got lost in my luggage somewhere I think.

Hmm….where did they go…….

Durango Hat Tourney

Hello readers!I want to apologize for taking a little vacation without internet access without warning you all first!

We went up to Durango, CO to participate in the Durango Hat Tournament for Ultimate Frisbee and we really did have a blast :)   The tourney was sponsored by Ska Brewing and Zia Taqueria and both provide such delicious products!  We were lucky enough to have a sampling of the beer throughout the weekend and Zia fed us on Saturday night.  I won’t bore you with all of the details, but I want to share some pictures and happening and let you in on what we did

Mmm, tea

Tea was enjoyed

Stretch!

Frisbees were jumped for

Can you see the love?

That's one big shroom!

And check out this huge mushroom we found!

And plenty of fun was had by all :)

Of course knitting was taken, what else are you supposed to do on long car trips?  Sadly, I don’t have any pictures of that right now, but the hat I finished on the way home is blocking and the other secret-ish project doesn’t have acceptable photos.  Pictures to come soon, I promise!

For my American friends, what did you do for the long weekend?  For those elsewhere, did you do anything fun?
