This is the fourteenth in a series of installments that will highlight one of my favorite brews and which knits to go with it! None of the breweries or yarn companies are compensating me – these are just my opinions on my personal experiences!
Brewer: New Belgium
Malts: Pale, Munich, Carapils, Aromatic
Flavors: Refreshing, clean, and ever so slightly floral. This beer is crisp on the inside with a smooth malt playing back up to the herbal hops. The finish is quick and dry.
Knit Pairings: Because this beer is so easy to drink, it’s a great afternoon beer. It’s nothing crazy or out of the box like last week’s HiCu was, and it really just needs a standard yarn and project to go with it – a basic beanie with an inch or so of ribbing at the bottom, stockinette body, standard increases with a wool blend yarn so that you can throw it in the wash without thinking about it.
Let me know what you think! Suggestions for future beers, more/different information to include, this is a work in progress so I won’t be offended by constructive advice!
