Pints & Purls Edition 15: Inversion IPA

This is the fifteenth in a series of installments that will highlight one of my favorite brews and which knits to go with it!  None of the breweries or yarn companies are compensating me – these are just my opinions on my personal experiences!

Brew: Inversion IPA

Brewer: Deschutes Brewery

Malts: Pale, Crystal, Munich, Caramel

Hops: Millennium, Horizon, Centennial, Northern Brewer, Cascade, Citra

Flavors:  Smells creamier than it tastes – it’s a little maltier than most IPA’s but still crisp.  It’s darker than most, but bitter with a strong initial flavor.IMG_0121

Knit Pairings:  The beer doesn’t have brand new flavors that you’ve never tasted before, but it has  the tried and true in a novel collection and presentation – your knitting should reflect that!  My Vagabond’s Dream Collection is a similar set up – different yarn weights that come standard in any yarn store and a unique compilation of colors and projects to use them with all to create a wardrobe that’s as colorful and flexible as you are.

Notes:

Let me know what you think!  Suggestions for future beers, more/different information to include, this is a work in progress so I won’t be offended by constructive advice!
