This is the twenty-seventh in a series of installments that will highlight one of my favorite brews and which knits to go with it! None of the breweries or yarn companies are compensating me – these are just my opinions on my personal experiences!
Brewer: Great Divide
Hops: Columbus, Centennial, Cascade
Flavors: Lots of flavor in this bottle, a sweet bitterness that starts out floral and ends citrus-y. Heavier than the light IPAs and lighter than the heavy IPAs, it’s got a lengthy finish of hoppy bitter.
Knit Pairings: This isn’t a mild beer and you shouldn’t be knitting a mild project! No garter stitch scarves here, I recommend pairing this brew with something more complex and in the “Wild West” spirit this brew boasts – a bandana-shaped shawlette or even a cowboy hat (seriously, you can totally do that).
Let me know what you think! Suggestions for future beers, more/different information to include, this is a work in progress so I won’t be offended by constructive advice!
