WIP Wednesday: Coming Soon

These past few weeks have been crazy around these parts – travel over the 4th to see my family, travel for a wedding this past weekend, house guests, dog injuries (she’s fine, but a princess) and a busy week of meetings and classes and showings and squeezing in friend-time this week. That doesn’t leave a ton of time for knitting but I am getting a little bit done here and there. This week I’m working on the bottom ribbing of the first of two sample tops for a new design I’m working on and hoping to have released before the weather turns cold again! It’s hard to see the construction of the top here but it’s fairly straightforward knitting followed up with some minor seaming and then picking up stitches for the lower bit. Hopefully it’ll all come to life better on a model when it’s done!

What are you working on this week? Is summer a crazy time for your schedule too?

WIP Wednesday: Back to Stitchin’

Cross stitching that is! I mentioned a few weeks months ago that I’d picked up a cross stitch kit in order to have something to work on when my wrists were bothering me. Although I hadn’t worked on it in some time, I did manage to get in a bit more on it last week. It’s awfully addictive watching those letters take shape, isn’t it?

Over the weekend I did manage to sneak in a road trip to see my family for the 4th of July holiday. We had a fantastic time although very little crafting got done so I’ll have to remedy that this week!

What did you do for the weekend? Anything fun/roadtrippy/crafty/relaxing?
