I’ve finally decided to list the Viking Helmet as a custom order in my shop.

how sneaky can you be with such distinctive features?

Check out the listing here.

The pattern will be coming as soon as I find some sit-down-and-sit-still time, it’s always harder to find than you’d think!

FO Friday: A Helmet Fit For A Viking

Remember that WIP that I shared was of warrior proportions?  Well it was finally completed early this week and given to the recipient and I can unveil it in all of its glory!

perfect for both men and women!

The viking helmet was a custom order from a friend and although he really did have to wait fartoo long to actually receive it, now that all the kinks are worked out its totally worth it.  I think I’ll offer them on a Made To Order basis through my Etsy shop and possibly write up a pattern for them if anyone is interested in knitting their own (hinthint)!

the deeper the thought the deeper the beard necessary to stroke during it right?

I am quite proud of this beanie although I do see all the mistakes (as the creator, I feel that this is normal and impossible to bypass, I’m learning to live with it).

Conquer all things easily

WIP Wednesday: More Clown Vomit

Happy Wednesday!  You all know what Wednesday means, more WIP!  Check out Tami’s blog for all of the details 😀

My WIP this week is a continuation of last week, the clown vomit pants have grown some, I split for the legs last week and although I didn’t get much knitting done over the fun and busy weekend, class has provided a fair amount of knitting time.

they don't look *quite* as wonky as this picture makes them look...

I’m doing the legs at the same time to better ensure an equal length.  This sometimes makes me feel like no progress is being made, but if I consider how long a single leg would be if it were doubled, I feel better about my progress.

I’m slightly concerned about the length of the crotch of the pants…they grew faster than I had anticipated…but we’ll just see how they work out with the wearer and how he feels about them.

In other news, I’m on my way to Atlanta for Stitches South today!  I’ve got some posts for the rest of the week, and will be taking tons of pictures this weekend to share next week!  I hope you all have as much fun these next few days as I’m sure I will be having 😀

FO Friday: The Hemp Tie

So I may have actually finished this last Wednesday, but I haven’t blogged about it yet, so I feel like its appropriate to share with you 🙂

The Ever-So-Handsome Wes adjusting his new tie

The tie used maybe half of the ball of Hempathy I bought, so I have plenty more to make one for myself (and I think I will).  Oh, and I am going to take this time to brag that I figured out how to tie a tie for the first time, and on the first try no less, when I decided to try it on after casting off 🙂

Don't you think I could fit one of these into my day-to-day attire?

Ravelry Deets can be found here.

A pattern is in the works based on all of the responses I got about other knitters wanting to knit one for their significant others, so be on the lookout for that!  I plan on releasing it as a free Ravelry download and I’ll probably be looking for test knitters, so if you’re interested just let me know 😉
